Hyperion Munitions Product Recall Notice

 

Hyperion Munitions is recalling certain lots of Veteran Ammo 9mm Luger 115/124 Grain Brassback ammunition. Customers who have purchased this product should stop using it immediately and carefully review the information below.

The following product symbols are included in this recall:

  • HMBX-9-115-BPSTEEL

 

Affected Lot Numbers

The following lot numbers are subject to this recall:

  • 103207
  • 103227
  • 103316
  • 103198
  • 103363
  • 103295
  • 103297
  • 103242

Important: To determine whether your ammunition is affected, check the product symbol and lot number stamped on the cartons of the symbols involved.

 

Reason for Recall

Hyperion Munitions has determined that the above lots of 9mm Luger 115/124 Grain Full Metal Jacket Brassback ammunition may contain propellant that does not properly ignite and burn when the cartridge is fired.

Ammunition containing propellant that does not properly ignite and burn may result in a bullet remaining in the barrel (i.e., a bullet-in-bore obstruction). Firing a subsequent bullet into the bore obstruction could cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable and subjecting the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury.

 

What You Should Do Immediately

DO NOT USE HYPERION MUNITIONS 9MM LUGER 115/124 FMJ BRASSBACK OF THE ABOVE SYMBOLS THAT HAS ANY OF THE ABOVE LOT NUMBERS.

If your ammunition matches the affected symbols and lot numbers listed above, immediately discontinue use and contact Hyperion Munitions toll-free at 844-622-8339 for free UPS pick-up of the recalled ammunition.

Upon receipt of your recalled ammunition, Hyperion Munitions will ship replacement ammunition directly to you or issue you a reimbursement check.

 

Products Not Included

This notice applies only to the above 9mm Brass Plated Steel Luger 115/124 FMJ symbols with the above lot numbers. Other symbols or lot numbers are not subject to this recall.
